Studio K | Studio K Location Details Announced

Studio K expands into entertainment and lifestyle brand now reaching consumers worldwide

Orlando, FL, April 29, 2015 –Studio K, (http://ift.tt/1PZbXPx), an entertainment and lifestyle company, is proud to announce that it will be opening its new location in July 2015 in the Lake Buena Vista area of Central Florida.

Studio K originated in 2010 as a full-service entertainment studio featuring the largest offering of dance classes for adults, photography, and a national public relations firm in one centralized facility. After its physical location closed in 2012, the studio rebranded its efforts focusing on its online market, and launched the professional cosmetics line, Kristin Noelle Cosmetics from its Photography Division, as well as the entertainment blog, The Backdrop, featuring experts in the fields of business, photography, fashion and design. The blog quickly grew to 15,000 subscribers since its launch in 2013, and the company will now be expanding its reach with the launch of The Backdrop Magazine, an online lifestyle publication releasing in June 2015.

The new facility for the corporation, which will now be called The Loft at Studio K, will be opened within the newly renovated City Lake Pointe complex on International Drive, welcoming additional shopping, dining, and office space such as Kobe Steakhouse and Escapology, a business that offers a unique “real life escape game” destination.

The Loft at Studio K will exclusively house the company’s dance and fitness offerings for adults, and will also serve as the primary studio location for the photography and cosmetics divisions. The blog and magazine efforts will continue to run from a separate office location and additionally use The Loft for special events and photo shoot needs.

“It has been quite an exciting journey over the last several years,” said Owner and CEO of Studio K, Kristin Weissman. “After truly taking our time to select the next location and testing a variety of areas within Central Florida, I was again drawn back to the Lake Buena Vista community which has become an integral part of our brand identity. Studio K is continually striving to be an innovative leader within Orlando as we offer a much needed service to our wealth of talent within the theme park market, as well as to adults in our community looking for a stronger way to connect with the arts. With our new additions and a fresh approach to what we do well, we are now reintroducing ourselves as a lifestyle company who is again offering something that no one else has provided under one cohesive brand, and we have exponentially expanded our reach worldwide.”

Since opening, Studio K has served as a leader in the Central Florida arts community, creating nearly 50 new job opportunities in the market, and driving business and projects to Central Florida from across the country including work with major national brands, as well as providing Studio K as the audition location for films such as “Step Up 4,” and “Rock of Ages.” Studio K has also served as an episode location for the hit television series on the Lifetime Network, “Dance Moms;” has welcomed musical artist/celebrity Jessica Sutta of the hit pop group, The Pussycat Dolls, twice to debut her new dance class on the East Coast exclusively at Studio K; and has opened its doors to dozens of talented dance performers from Broadway, major concert tours, and film/TV for workshop offerings.

The company has also partnered with the City of Orlando on projects including the Downtown Concert Series performing the “Footloose” flash mob before the Kenny Loggins concert, was the first to perform a flash mob at the Amway arena before the national tour of “So You Think You Can Dance,” and has served as a continual participant in the city of Orlando’s celebration of National Dance Day, which will again occur on July 25, 2015.

“Sometimes we must take a second look to find an even stronger focus to move forward,” Weissman added. “I am so proud to be an Orlando small business, and I am even more proud to be an Orlando small business that is about to make one really big comeback.”
