UFC 166 Prediction Cain Velazquez vs Junior Dos Santos ...

UFC 166 Prediction Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos

In November 2011, Cain Velasquez was the UFC Heavyweight Champion. Since that time, Cain has lost the UFC Heavyweight Title to Junior Dos Santos, and regained the UFC Title by defeating Junior Dos Santos in a convincing manner.

In the first bout, Dos Santos defeated Valasquez early in the first round, making a convincing argument that he was the baddest MMA Heavyweight on the planet. In the second fight, Cain beat up Dos Santos for 5 rounds to retain the UFC Heavyweight Title. We now come to the third fight between these two top Heavyweights in the sport.

Going into this fight, Cain looks to be the favorite, and rightfully so. I picked Junior in the first fight, and Cain in the second fight. Tonight at UFC 166, I think this one won’t be like anyone expects. It’s really important to look at the fact that Cain couldn’t finish Dos Santos in their second Title fight. I don’t see this fight being like either of the first two bouts. There will be a finish, and it will be in one of the middle rounds.

I see Junior Dos Santos winning back the UFC Heavyweight Title by TKO, and defending the title against Daniel Cormier, moving forward. It has been said that Daniel Cormier wouldn’t fight his teammate Cain Velasquez, therefore moving down in weight class; that would mean he would be going to the UFC Light Heavyweight Division to challenge the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones. If Junior Dos Santos defeats Cain Velasquez at UFC 166, Daniel Cormier won’t have a reason to move down to Light Heavyweight. So, I will go on a limb and pick Junior Dos Santos by TKO over Cain Velazquez in the 3rd round of the UFC 166 main event fight.
