Moon Embracing the Sun is a 2012 South Korean historical drama series it will start airing its pilot episode on August 13, 2012 on GMA Kapuso Network Channel. The story was adapted from the novel with the same title, that tells of a secret, poignant love story between a fictional king of the Joseon Dynasty and a female psychic against the background of the Korean traditional palace. The series won for best drama and best actor award at the 2012 Baeksang Art Awards.
