It's Your Lucky First Saturday: Free MAPP is Today | Mission Loc@l


Over a dozen spaces will be transformed into micro art centers with art shows, music performances, and kids events today. The Mission Arts and Performance Project begins this afternoon, and will be going late into Saturday night. Here’s some of the schedule:


1 – 1:30 p.m. Face painting


1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Andy Strain, a musical storyteller for audiences of all ages! Kids can try a green trombone and make music together with the trombonist!


2:30 – 4 p.m. Honoring the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. Activity: Body Maps without chains



7 – 7:40 p.m. Joergen Scars Guitars – Acoustic Guitar/Multi-Media


7:50 – 8:20 p.m. Vibo Simfani – Modern/Eclectic/ International


8:30 – 9 p.m. Clattering Loon – Literary/Readings


9:10 – 9:40 p.m.-Sean Gaskell West African Kora


9:50-10:20 p.m. Anastasia and the Sunkeepers


10:30 – 11:20 p.m. Dirty Cello – Blues & Gypsy Jazz Cello


11:30 – 12 a.m. MWE – Turkish & Balkan with a Twist
