Film School Blog - Students Get a Sneak Peek at 'Hitchcock'

On Monday, a packed theater of New York Film Academy students was treated to a special sneak preview of Fox Searchlight’s Hitchcock . The star-studded film explores Alfred Hitchcock’s personal life during the making of Psycho, featuring Sir Anthony Hopkins in the lead role, alongside Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Toni Collette, and Jessica Biel.

“Anthony Hopkins was brilliant, as always,” said 1 Year Acting graduate, Amanda Westlake. “You really felt like you were inside the movie. I loved how truly entertaining it was – even the dramatic moments were witty and playful.” The film opens in wide release this Friday, November 23.

Students and alumni in the Los Angeles area are invited to join the next special event on December 5: a sneak preview of The Impossible , followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers: director, Juan Antonio Bayona; screenwriter, Sergio G. Sanchez; and producer, Belen Atienza. Based on the true story of one family’s survival of the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, The Impossible stars Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. Current students and alumni can send RSVP requests to laevents@nyfa.edu.
