It's official!
A rep has confirmed that Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's parents, Tina and Joe Simpson, have filed for divorce.
As the news of the split leaked, peeps "close" to the couple claimed they're separation was all about Papa Joe's new-found sexuality.
THAT'S RIGHT! Sources said Joe came out of the closet a couple months ago — and has already started seeing a sexy young boyfriend!
Clearly, the Simpsons know people are talking about Joe making it with man candy, because they had their rep send out a statement saying:
"It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."
We're still not exactly sure what to believe…
Whatever the cause, our hearts go out to the whole family.
We're sure this split will be tough on everyone, but it will not change the fact that Jessica and Ashlee's parents truly love and support their daughters!
