American Idol runner up, Jessica Sanchez may have lost the title but she still has plenty of plum options out there to pick from. Well, it turns out she has been confirmed to join Glee as a new character. Earlier this year we heard rumors of her possibly joining the show, which has turned out to be true. No word on what kind of role Jessica will be given, but hopefully a good one that will allow her musical talent to shine. The only think the series’ creator Ryan Murphy did share on the news was a hint about a future episode thanks to adding Jessica to the show. Here is the tweet that Ryan shared, which also hinted at a possible Barbra Streisand themed episode.

This is great news for Jessica who hasn’t had as much success as we all had hoped before now. She will not only be able to share her musical strengths, but she will also exercise her acting talents as well. It seems to be a wise choice to make since it will likely lead to more doors being open for her in the long run. I know that is something that I think most of us can get behind thanks to her amazing talent and desire to do something creative. Plus it won’t hurt her while she records more solo music and trying to make her music career to take off to new heights.
How do you feel about this news and the possibility of a Barbra Streisand episode? I think the news is exciting for both Jessica and the series. She seems like a good choice since we do know that she had a set of pipes on herself. So she should fit in nicely with the rest of the cast. The only real risk here is the fact that she could outshine rest of the cast with ease and they might want to be careful with what kind of a role they will give her since she could be their biggest threat to star on the series yet!
