Hawaiian beauty queen Tessi Tolutau (photos below) is coming forward in the wake of the ridiculous Manti Te’o catfish scandal — but not for the reasons you may think. It turns out that Talutau might have been hoaxed by the same fake profile toting weirdo.

This whole thing has left the world scratching its head. There are so many names, most of which are hard to spell and pronounce. There are so many story lines that it reads like a confusing novel. But the one thing that is clear is that somebody got over on Notre Dame football player Manti Te’o.
Since the fake girlfriend saga began, nothing really positive has been said about Manti, whose fake dead girlfriend inspired fans to wear Lei’s to Notre Dame games.
The only sense anyone can make is that this guy Ronaiah Tuiasosopo has something to do with it. In both cases, Manti and Tessi say he was involved. In Manti’s case, he showed up to meet his fake girlfriend “Lennay” and guess who showed up? That’s right, Ronaiah.
In Tessi’s case, she was supposedly contacted by “Lennay Kekua” seeking advice about how to enter the beauty pageant world. The imaginary “Lennay” eventually set her up on a lunch date with…drumroll please… Ronaiah!
It wasn’t until the scandal unfolded for Manti that she made the connection between the two “Lennay’s.”
Creeped out, yet? Us, too.
Whoever was pulling the strings behind the Lennay person back in 2007 told Tessi that she was a Victoria’s Secret Model who was dating Mark Sanchez of the NY Jets. That’s too funny.
Here’s what Tessi told the NY Post about the conversations she had with “Lennay”:
“Lennay wrote, ‘I just wanted to know what path I should take for the Miss Tonga pageant…We went back and forth. I gave her advice about how to prepare. It was an ongoing conversation . . . She even asked me about [other Hawaiians I knew] and about Manti, too.”
How strange.
Tolutau grew up near Manti, and confirmed that there is no way he was in on the scam to increase his media clout or to garner sympathy with fans. They both claim to have been scammed by the same wierdo, but it hasn’t quite been confirmed that it was this Ronaiah character.
I guess it could just be some big coincidence that someone using a fake profile set both people up to meet Ronaiah in public places, right? …right.
