LOS ANGELES—American idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will be in Manila next month to do a Valentine concert with fellow contestant Colton Dixon.
Sanchez said she is excited to fly back to the Philippines, where she experienced an overwhelming amount of adulation.
“It was crazy. I didn’t expect that much love. They give me lots of love but I never expected it to that level. They just surrounded me with it, drowned me in it. I loved it. I can’t wait to go back and see their faces again,” said Sanchez.
Sanchez she has another reason why she is excited; her first single is coming out soon.
“Since the Idol tour started that’s when I started actually recording. I just got finished, I want it to be perfect for all the fans and we got to that point so the single will be coming out next month. I’m excited for the fans and the sound, for what they’re about to hear,” added Sanchez.
Her fans in Manila will be the first to hear songs from Jessica’s debut album as she plans to do a sneak preview during the concert.
The singer is also busy taking acting lessons in preparation for her upcoming appearance on “Glee.”
But the petit star played coy about talks that she will be the love interest of Finn, one of the main male characters on the hit TV show Glee.
“Rumors. I have no idea, nothing’s been confirmed yet but I’m excited,” said Sanchez. “Yeah, he’s tall and so much older than me, but we’ll see what happens. I’m excited because it’s going be a whole new set of people that I’ll be working with and intimidated because I’ve never acted before and these people have been acting for the longest time.”
