The judges needed a spectacular singer after an afternoon of dud X Factor auditions. That is when Lauren Jauregui appeared out of nowhere. This 16-year-old is incredibly family oriented, wanting to make it big to help take care of her family who “gets by.” When she took stage you knew she’d be something special because she just looks like a star.
The teen announced she’d be singing the big song, “If I Ain’t Got You.” At first the judges looked concerned, but then she opened her mouth to sing. Her voice is huge and beautiful. There’s really no way to describe it other than that. Everyone was impressed with Jessica Sanchez on American Idol last season, just wait until Lauren gets into a groove this season. She’ll leave Jessica behind in the dust.
The judges loved Lauren.
Simon Cowell: And that Lauren is how you do it.
L.A. Reid: That husky, round voice was so mature. Perfect audition.
Britney Spears: I thought you were unbelievable.
Demi Lovato: You have something so special about you. I can’t believe you are only 16.
Simon Cowell: I like to be surprised and you really, really surprised me. One of my favorite auditions.
Needless to say all four judges said yes to boot camp for Lauren Jauregui.
